About Pandora

Learn About the brand

In 1982, the vibrant streets of Copenhagen, Denmark, witnessed the birth of a legacy. Hidden amidst its historical charm, a modest jeweler's shop took its first breath under the aegis of goldsmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife, Winnie. It wasn't just the opening of a store; it was the dawn of what the world would come to revere as Pandora.

From the whispers of the past, the lineage of craftsmanship was evident. Per’s father, Algot Enevoldsen, a master jeweler from the 1950s, had sown the seeds of craft and finesse. Inspired, the Enevoldsens frequently journeyed to Thailand, sourcing treasures to bring back to their eager Danish clientele.

Their creations were not merely ornaments; they were pieces of art that told tales. Recognizing this, the couple pivoted from retail to wholesale. By 1987, they had evolved, relocating to a more expansive space, and with a stroke of brilliance, they welcomed two visionary designers, Lone Frandsen and Lisbeth Enø Larsen. Together, they dreamt and designed what would become Pandora's signature: the Pandora charm bracelet.

Thailand, previously their treasure trove, turned into their artistic hub by 1989. Here, alongside a dedicated crew, the Enevoldsens meticulously shaped dreams into tangible beauty. A decade later the world was introduced to the Pandora charm bracelet. Initially introduced in Denmark, these bracelets quickly became a symbol of elegance and personal storytelling.

With the turn of the millennium, Pandora's charms took the world by storm. Each charm is a narrative in itself, carrying the emotions of its wearer. Whether it's a tribute to a country, an occasion, an activity, or a loved one, each charm is a testament to personal stories and unique styles. From Denmark to the United States, Germany, and Australia, the world was enraptured by the magic of Pandora.

The Pandora magic was undeniable. Sales doubled year after year, and what started as a local Danish jeweler soon transformed into an international sensation spanning the globe. To cater to the surging demand, the company inaugurated a large-scale, six-story manufacturing facility in Thailand in 2005. By 2010, three more facilities had sprung up in the same region, solidifying Pandora's unique production setup.

Today, the essence of Pandora dances across more than 70 countries, but its soul remains untouched. Their vision, as crystalline as that first day in Copenhagen: to offer women globally a universe of high-quality, hand-finished, and genuine jewelry at affordable prices. They believe in celebrating individual stories, the unforgettable moments that define who we are.
