Step 2: Design Presentation Including Sourcing the Right Materials for Your Own Custom Piece

After the consultation, the jewelry designer will create either a design sketch or 3D computerized rendering based on the client's custom jewelry design and specifications. This will include details such as the type of metal, gemstones, and other design elements. The client will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the design and make any necessary adjustments. 

Our gemologists and jewelry designers will select the perfect materials for the piece that are sustainably acquired.

 

Step 3: Production

After the design is finalized and materials have been selected, our metalsmiths will begin the production process. This may involve various techniques, such as 3D printing or milling in wax, hand wax carving, Spruing (creating an opening where the wax is burned out in a kiln creating a hollow mold) and casting (pouring molten metal into the mold), and pre-polishing (removing sprue connections and initial sanding). The metalsmith will ensure that the quality and accuracy of the piece are maintained throughout the production process.

 

 

Step 4: Finishing Touches

Once the jewelry piece made from custom jewelry design has been created, the designer will add finishing touches including polishing or texturing, hand engravings, and setting all gemstones.
